About

The Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park was established 1991 as a Citizen Support Organization (CSO) qualifying as a 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt charitable organization. Its purpose is to support Park Management in the preservation, maintenance, enhancement and restoration of the park's natural and cultural resources. It acts as a medium to garner financial support from park visitors, business sponsors and some generous donations from the public at large. 

The use and expenditure of funds raised are controlled by a Board of Directors and monitored by Park Management as they are used solely for the benefit of the Park. The support of the CSO and the Friends makes a significant contribution to the work needed in making park improvements and helping meet certain qualifying operational park needs.
